Hi posted for advice a few times as new to brewing and had a great response from all so far, thanks
No doubt I'll be looking for a few more tips over the next few weeks.

Welcome! I love Liverpool. I lived there for the best part of 10 years and I still miss the place. What are your preferred alehouses in town?

Got to be Rigbys, The Ship & Mitre, The Dispensary and Hannah's Bar

Hannah's bar was a favourite of mine due to the fit barmaids and the superb patio area where you could sit outside and watch the world go by. Then they expanded and got rid of the patio.
The Swan on Wood St was and still is my favourite pub in the world!

i'm with you on the barmaids some are stunning.

But you can beat it when they open the roof so you can sit in the sun in side :thumb:

I didn't know they could do that! It's been a while since I was there anyway: the Philharmonic is my main pub of choice these days when visiting Liverpool - £2.50 a pint and a great selection of ales!

I'm with eblis on this one: the ship & mitre for me: loads of choice and I do like Rigbys.

Used to go there quite a bit years ago when my mate worked next door, brilliant place.

The Ship and Mitre does some great ales but was unfortunately on the wrong side of town from me: I lived on Upper Parliament St. I do miss the Swan. :(

Yes I can see the difficulty in walking accross town after a few pints in the ship & mitre, and with what they sell in there I mean just a few pints.
