Been drinking craft beer for the past few years, decided to give home brewing a shot. I don't know much but i know what i like. Hoping to learn a bunch and make a bunch of great beer.

Hi and welcome,
I only started home brewing after Christmas but this site really helped me get my head around things and everyone is so helpful if you need to get some answers.
Enjoy the roller-coaster that is home brewing, it's certainly fun.

Welcome Freelancer.
I did a cross Canada rail journey last year. Started in Vancouver and ended up in Halifax NS. There seemed to be a big interest in craft beer, microbreweries and the like across the country wherever we stayed. Amongst others I did the Granville Island Brewery sample session in Vancouver, and the Jasper Brewpub in your province - Rockhopper IPA :thumb: .

theres 2 new brewers in alberta in the past calender year. one in lethbridge, Theoretically Brewing *spell check* and one still in construction in medicine hat, Hells Brewery *i think* Alberta is like most places, and slowly getting a larger %age of craft drinkers :) No major craft beer stores in my town so it's a hour drive to high quality brew
