Hi All
Well ive joined up really to get some tips and maybe help some of you in return.
A little about me so far:
Ive been around producing wine for home since i was a little boy as my family is Italian and grandfather has been making it since i can remember, but now the time came for me to take over the process as he is just to old :)
2 years ago i purchased all the equipment from another Italian family sadly the member had passed away and i wanted to keep this being used locally, so i have a mechanical crusher, press, oak barrels 220ltrs, food grade barrels 220ltrs and demijohns 50ltrs.
Last year i purchased 100 boxes of montepulciano grapes from our Italian supplier, they where shipped from Italy to us, overall i produced about 550-600 ltrs.
Was good fun and the wine turned out well.
So there is a little about myself, look forward to meeting you all
Thanks
Simon
