Hi All, Just wondered if any one has experience of setting up a Heineken beer pump. I have installed it and it is working fine but there are 4 wires coming from the bottom of the pump near to the recirc lines, I have 2 other pumps set up (Coors & Strongbow Dark fruits) and they only have 2 wires which I know are for the LED illumination (24VAC). My question is does anyone know why there are 4 wires, I am assuming 2 are for the LED illumination but I dont know what the other 2 are for, The pump head also will not condense like the other pumps with the recirc attached so I am also wondering if the other 2 wires are maybe for a solenoid valve to allow the recirc to go round the pump head, any help would be appreciated, I have trawled through the internet to no avail. Thanks

could be ?? why not strip it down as far as you can? any servicable elements should be accessable. failing that apply power, any relay/solanoid should be audible in a quiet room if switching.

Which one? They have several.

Photos of the pump head attached, thanks

Thanks, ill try that. I just hope I can see which colour wires go to any power consuming parts. Do you know if having a switching relay would be usual in this type of pump head for the recirc system or am I just clutching at straws?

a meter in continuity mode may detect which wires are paired for each circuit, however the extra wires may also be additional lighting features all sharing a common ground. more than 1 lighting mode would be my best guess as its a cheaper and easier solution to adding effects or changing modes to suit different lighting;)

Ok Thanks for your help, I have tried the meter, I get 1.2 ohms across orange & brown wires but open circuit on the other 2

Did you ever get to bottom of this wiring issue as I have recently purchased same unit and have same issue as to what wires do or go to.
