Head space and liquid left in Brewzilla amounts.

Just in case anybody is interested, I measured the amount of liquid in the space under the bottom mesh in The Brewzilla and the amount left in the tun when the ball valve is open and stops dripping, on a flat surface.

Why? Well just because I’ve seen recipes and posts allowing x much for the space. It may be helpful, It may not, thought it wouldn’t hurt to mention it.

Dead space = 2. 5 L

Liquid left in tun when turning of the ball valve on a flat surface = 1.8 L

Can you get a bit more of that 1.8L out if you tip it?

So of the 1. 8 L left behind, if you tip the Brewzilla to its natural stopping point (it’s on little legs and with stop tilting when the table contacts the bottom rim of the tun). The rest will come out out of the tap leaving 150ml.
