Hi All,

Havin a problem here with a Youngs Pilstner Lager Lager was started on 21 may with 1055 reading, It stopped fermenting on the 26th at 1012. I kegged it the following day 27th.

Lager is now in keg but seems to have little gas and is very cloudy as like it was only kegged yesterday. There is a sweet smell but no bad smell, any one have any idea what is wrong here as i would have thought it would be clearing by now but there doesnt seem to be any change.

Do you have the beer in a top or bottom tap keg Gerry?
If it's in a bottom tap keg you may be pulling through the yeast that has settled on the bottom :(

Yep TS,

Its a bottom tap keg, Would it be better to remove beer from keg into a bucket and then return to keg trying to remove yeast in the process. And would i be better to add sugar again. O mabee bottle with a little sugar in each bottle.

Cheers......G

I would just put up with a few cloudy pints, you will eventually pull the excess yeast through.
For future reference if you tip the keg backwards (away from the tap) during conditioning there will be less yeast settling near the tap ;)
Just be careful not to disturb the sediment when you level the keg :thumb:
