BTW, this is coming from an Englishman with a small proportion of Sutherland blood, but who always feels like he's going home when he heads North of the border.
My pedigree.
Scottish father, Welsh mother, Irish Grand mother and I was born and bred an Englishman.
Could have played for any!

What typically British under statement.
Ouch!

BigYin: Do you regard yourself as a Brit or a Scot?

It always amuses me how the English conveniently regard the Scots as British when they are winning anything in International competition, but consider them as foreigners the rest of the time.

Scottish, only without the chip on the shoulder

My folks are English (well, from Yorkshire and Cumbria, which are both almost countries in themselves when it comes to national identity  ) but I was born, brought up, schooled, went to Uni and have worked in Scotland all my life, so I'm thoroughly Scottish as far as I'm concerned, only without a terribly Scottish accent thanks to growing up with English parents
