Don't have a Palm tree, lost a lot of other stuff including my Olive tree (not big enough for a flag pole). :(

I thought my olive tree would have bitten the dust but it's looking healthier than ever

I am a gardener by trade and all the palm trees and cordylines I've seen have had it.

It's got one little shoot left with about 3 leaves, yours gives me hope!

Fingers crossed for you.

This last winter has buggered things up alright! I was happy to get two days at the allotment this weekend to get me in a positive mood.

Thanks Ev, hope to post some wide-angle veg pics come harvest time

Well done on the clearing :thumb:

Our cordyline's have been destroyed with the frost and winds, two are definitely dead and not holding out much hope for the 30foot one.
Three wheelie bins full of there leaves and still have more to get rid of

You might be surprised that in harsh conditions the corduline sheds its leaves to protect its roots so some may not be dead as you might think. Ours is as bald as a coot if it doesnt come back in May it will be replaced with hops :thumb:

What typically British under statement.
Ouch!

BigYin: Do you regard yourself as a Brit or a Scot?

It always amuses me how the English conveniently regard the Scots as British when they are winning anything in International competition, but consider them as foreigners the rest of the time.

BTW, this is coming from an Englishman with a small proportion of Sutherland blood, but who always feels like he's going home when he heads North of the border.
