I'd like to make a WOW type wine using the Polish Lowicz Syrups, which are preservative free and come in 440ml bottles. See below:

I just wondered if anyone had made wine with these before and how much of the syrup is needed in a 5l brew?

I want to be able to taste it, but don't want it to be overpowering and cloying, which is my main concern with it being a syrup.

Anyone thoughts appreciated.

I made one with blackcurrant syrop using a whole bottle.
It had an after taste of saccharine type sweetner even
after six months. Would recommend half a bottle at
most.

Thanks, I suspected that might be the case.

Did you make the volume up with WGJ, RGJ or something else?

I did a couple of experimental bottles using Brewing caps, mixed 50ml of cherry syrup with apple juice in a 500ml bottle, added yeast and left it 5 days then in the fridge for 3 days - not bad but a bit sweet, maybe leave it to ferment more of the sugar out next time.
