I usually use Vinclear but the shop had none so i bought this assuming it was the same, the Vinclear instructions say to add two cupfuls to a gallon, the Quickfine 2 liquid says to add two dessert spoons to a cup of the wine stir and add back to the bucket, i assume this means two dessert spoons to 23 litres, should i use less in a DJ or stick to two dessert spoons?

This is for 1 gallon.
Got this off the tinterweb 'This is the replacement liquid for the excellent, but now defunct, Quickfine Filter.'
Don't know if it would work on it's own or if you would have to past it through a filter.

Thanks, i have just received this from Harris.

Hi,

The Liquid 2 is an ingredient for the Quikfine Filtration Kit. It is used with Crystals 1 and Powder 3 by mixing in a 5 litre bucket and leaving for 20 minutes, before passing through a special bag in a spouted bucket on top of a demijohn.

The Liquid 2 is not strong enough to clear wine on its own, the charge is only sufficient to make the Crystals and Powder bind together to form a floc for the filter bag.
Vinclear is a triple strength fining that is designed to clear wine quickly and easily. If you want to clear wine with the Quikfine Liquid 2, you would probably need to use the whole bottle.

Kindest regards.
