Hi, first post.
I have just bought a Handpull, it's a Holmark marked John Smiths on the brass base with a white handle.

I wand to strip and refurbish it, is there any way to identify the size? I can only find a service kit for a 1/2 pint.
I guess I could pull some water through and measure the output (assuming the plunger will deliver a full measure), there does not appear to be any markings of it apart from a last service date of 1995.

Why not measure the diameter and length of the cylinder? There are many websites that will convert cubic inches, cubic centimetres or cubic millimetres to Imperial pints.

Thanks for that, I took a look at this before posting but with the big plastic ends it's very hard to know how far the cylinder penetrates and the diameter is also quite difficult to gauge with the four bolts in the way, not to mention not knowing how far back the plunger pulls.
My best try on the calculation is close to 1/2 pint but it's not too accurate and a lot of guesswork.

If you move the handle all you need is the length of the stroke of the rod. The distance between the bolts less an inch would be a good approximation.
