Hi guys does anybody know where I can get a cheap reconditioned hand pull pump that I can use for beer in a box ie polypin connectors ect
Ok thank you I’ve seen a few I do work on my tools for a living but I’ve never stripped one down wasn’t sure about the space and where to get themYou can get non workers for around £20 to £50 on the likes of Ebay or Gumtree.
These can be stripped down (if newer and spares are available) and made good if competent for around another £25 to £50 depending on spares and seal kits required.
You can pick a "working" pump up again from ebay etc for maybe £80 upwards or may still be able to buy one from a refurbisher online for around £150 upwards which will be guaranteed.
Ok thankyouI picked mine up at a car boot, didn't take much to get it working well. They are pretty simple.
Can usually find them on ebay for around £45 plus delivery, sometimes cheapest esp for collection only.
Ok thanks for that cheersThere isn't a lot to go wrong with them other than the piston, washers, o rings and pipe connectors. I stripped mine down with very basic tools and found the washer on the piston was deformed - flipping it over fixed it for me. Your mileage may vary though!
You definitely did my friend I don’t suppose you want to sell one do youWorth checking Facebook Marketplace too if you can. I bought two working Angram CQ, £50 for two. I think I got a bit of a bargain. It was from a hotel who were going keg-only as they didn't sell enough cask. I took out £200 in cash to go pick them up. When he said "£50?" I thought, "bargain", so I took out £100 from my wallet as I was going to buy two of the 4 he had, and he said "no, £50 for the two". I think I got lucky.
Haha, where are you based? You definitely did my friend I don’t suppose you want to sell one do you
