The one I posted is closely based on that recipe, but for copyright reasons is just ever so slightly different.
 
Ive got to ask this question...Why would you want to "clone" a beer that is available in every pub, thoughout the world?
I understand the thought process of "I can brew that"...but why?

Maybe the cost? Ingredients for a 20L batch would cost roughly the same as 12 cans from Tesco.
 
Maybe it's the satisfaction of being able to replicate it or get as near to it as possible.At the end of the day why would you HB in the first place.
Is it a hobby,cost saving or the possibility of starting a new career?
Mine at present is an inquisitive and experimental hobbym

Think I'm with JohnnyBoy on this one.
I like Guinness. But I also like a good many other stouts just as much. And now I've discovered Black IPA (I know it's a stupid name...)
 
Hey guys, sorry for the late reply but I do a house stout

3kg Pale Malt like Maris Otter
1kg Flaked Barley
500g Black or Roast Barley depending on how you like it

100g Acidulated Malt - this is the key that will give the beer a twang. Comes in 500g bags but it really does make a difference.

Any suitable hops like EKG, hops are not as important
S04 or S05 yeast (I prefer S04)

You won't have an exact clone but will taste similar. You can tweak this recipe as I do each time like adding chocolate malt, vanilla, roast or black barley ect

The sizes above are what the shops usually sell you in so no wastage. Halve the ingredients for a 10 - 12L brew and experiment with the other half for your next brew.
 
I have in a book a clone recipe for Guinness. It's at my parents' house which I'll be at tomorrow, and if I remember I'll post it.

I don't normally clone; if I enjoy a beer that much I'll buy it and try and brew my own in a similar style, but cloning is interesting. It can be fun to recreate your favourite beer, and it can test your brewing skill. There are so many variants when making beer that if you can recreate a commercial recipe it shows good control over the process.

If anyone want to do Marks house stout you can get the Acid malt in 250g amounts from Geterbrewed and they also do create-your own-AG kits so you can order 100g exactly
 
Personally I like to do a clone of beers I like and maybe tweek them to learn to make things I like
