Growing Hops??

Thought this thread needed a bump so here are my pics.

Fuggles is doing the best and always has done and now in its 4th year.

Bramling X is also in year 4 but was very slow to get started.

This one is Willamette in year 3 having been grown from seed and will be the first year of producing hops - hopefully!

my fuggle got all three braches snapped in the wind the other week, so had to train new shoots, they are already five foot long, that is about 4" a day!

the goldings in much slower grower it is just past 12' now.

will have to dig them out and rebed them next winter, root stock is huge!
 
I cant believe how well the fuggle and phoenix and growing. Its actually a bit frightening. If I grow old and die in this house, the people who buy it will have a hell of a job cutting their way through the impenetrable mass of hops out the back!
 
Jim i wouldnt mind some cuttings if poss - got the mrs over in uk at the mo, looking for flights back now too prob end july begining august. Will pay postage np.
Also Mixale where did youget the seed from for the willamete??? :thumb:
 
I wouldn't mind some too Jim if you have any spare, don't mind paying postage on it too or can collect from Hot Break if you attend :)
