I'm sure i read a thread and it said you shouldnt use commercial lager bottles for bottling homebrew as they may explode!?

How about the Grolsch swing top bottles, they seem alot thicker than ordinary ones??

I bought two - Asda £1.33 each, i did see the slightly bigger ones that Moley mentioned organic Cider i think but @ £2.38 i couldnt stretch to it lol

I have nearly 100 grolsh 40 green and 56 brown all old ones, the new ones seem thinner but they have silicone seals so I am gradually replacing the rubber ones which don't last more than a couple of brews. Been cutting my own seals from silicone sheet as well.

Green for meads and ciders, brown for beers. They don't hold a pint about 440 so you need more.

Not guilty, we don't have an Asda and I don't possess any swing tops.

That's news to me, I've reused a range of beer bottles and nothing has gone bang so far. I do prime fairly lightly though.
