Hi. I've been brewing since August last year starting out my hobbie (obsession!) from a brew buddy starter kit from Tesco. Made a few kits mainly Coopers and Woodfordes (excellent kits) then made my way into extract brewing (brewing with DME) for about six monthes and have just started out in All Grain brewing over the past four months making clone recipes and possibly having to start making my own recipes with all this leftover grain I have lying about haha. 
Also making wine from plums from the tree beside the house and just starting to venture into cider making. :drink:
What started out as a money saving exercise is now turning into a quest for an exceptionally good pint as it's tough to find one in Hartlepool, Billingham and surrounding areas, save a few pubs (recommendations accepted). There is one excellent local however, the Rat Race Pub at Hartlepool station, a small pub serving a small range of stouts, IPAs, bitters and ciders (no lager) from local breweries, a micro pub with soul and excellent company.
