Surely thats a challenge for Calum S.

I have a mincer...

I can give you a basicish recipe if you like calum.

you would need a Ox bung or an artificial bung to fill into however.
also need some lamb lobes, liver and heart, beef fat, drop of lamb fat, oatmeal and your usual herbs and spices and a good dram (or 6)
the best lamb fat to use is the stuff that comes from around the kidneys (suet), the beef fat is a filler and adds more depth of flavour.
a really rich stock goes a long way to making a good hag, this is a good time to balance spices as you will not want to be trying pre-cooked haggis, trust me on this.

if you want to try and make one and cant get hold of any bungs let me know and I will send an artificial one your way, it will require a sausage filler or the like to get the haggis into it.

Do you have a vegetarian version.

Love Haggis, will be having some on the 26th but wanted to set the record straight the correct quote from Burns is:
"great chieftain o' the puddin-race"

So it is ... if i said i was translating it into southern english would you believe me?

I'm quite liking "Pudding Clan". The mental images are just better than "pudding race"...

Were I come from puddings are filled with steak and Kidney and come served with chip smothered in gravy.

I don't actually like ofall that much but i tolerate it in a pudding.

Don't mind haggis as long as it is served with a good glug of whisky and i have also had a very good glug of malt whisky.

Went to Tesco's tonight and had to buy some haggis off the 'shelf'...then swimbo says we'll have trout as it's on offer...get home and she orders a pizza  ...could murder that Haggis now :P
