I'm wondering if I'v made an error :hmm: .

Its an Edme Stout kit made using beer enhancer and short brewed to 18L(ish). Would this be fariyl impossible in the short space of time? I make that around 6% .

It tasted really nice, has a nice foamy head on straight out the FV tap. Not sure if it tastes like a 6% stout though :wha: .

Surely took a wrong og reading by mistake??

Looks like you got your fingers in a knot with “fairly” and there shouldn't be an apostrophe in the thread title. Other than that I don't see any mistakes.

1.060 could be right if you brewed short, and dropping to 1.014 is quite possible after just 3 days if the temperature has been a little on the high side.

I've made the Edme Stout and it was quite a decent brew, although I would say it needs 3 months to come good.

It really does taste quite nice. Thing is though, its got a fairly sweet taste to it. At 6% Id have thought that all the sugar had been turned into alcohol by now....
Perhaps because I brewed it short there is more sugar than can actually be fermented.....I used the whole Kilo of beer enhancer for the 18l.

Do you think it will ferment stronger or will there be some un fermented beer enhancer left in it leaving a sweet taste to the stout?

Mine finished at 1.005 using just ordinary sugar, so even brewed short and with some added spraymalt I would think yours should drop a few more points yet. Check it again at the end of the week.
