I did a couple of brews this weekend, when I was packing up on Sunday evening my Grainfather mains plug was stuck in there, I think it welded itself in there as it's not budging.
I had to replace the lead it came with a couple of months ago with a new one as the original plug was getting an odd white coating over it and the wall socket I plug into it was getting an odd yellow colour. Approximately 10 brews on this happens with the new one. This was supposed to be a heat tested IEC cable.
Along with a new kitchen plug, I also need a new cable, any recommendations? I bought a Grainfather to avoid this sh#t happening.
Why did this happen? Did some reading and there's a loose connection somewhere either in the plug or behind the socket. Does this sound right? I'm in a fairly new build (2011) and plugs seem fine, I'm thinking a faulty plug.
