I have just bought a cracking piece of kit, the Ikea digital thermometer, i saw it recommended (here i think) it really is the business. the long lead on it is heat resistant up to about 480 degrees F. Techno wizardry or what.

My mash ton is half way completed and wont take much finishing now. I dropped a small gooly regarding the boiler though, i got two kettles from ASDA, i was going to take of the elements and fit them to 5 gallon FV, but the connection to the kettle elements are a sort of slot connection, so they would be no good at all, i hope they will take them back, then ile get two from tesco's as recommended by you guys here.

I hope to be knocking up a brew by next week. Happy days. :drink:

Good news on the build progress :thumb:
Don't worry about the asda kettles, the elements will be fine when you strip them out (unless they've changed over the past month)
