I was calibrating the sight tubes on my pots today and it seemed a waste of water not to use it so i threw together something with the ingredients i need to use up. The water is just heating now and i have yet to decide if i'll do the whole job today or split it over 2 days.

I've had a last min change of heart, the hops will now all be added at 15 mins, all 500G and sparged so they don't absorb to much wort. I'm refusing to have any part in this recession :lol:

I upped the hops by 200 g Vossy so i could achieve a good level of bitterness from only the 15 mins hops only

wowser! always fancied doing a 15 min hop additions after drinking Doom Bar all last summer

I just kegged the first fermenter of this, the aroma from it was amazing but i did carry over way more yeast to the keg than ever before :hmm: that concerned me a bit so i had a sample and all my concerns are over it's drinkable now the bitterness is very smooth I was planning on bottling the other fermenter but the way the yeast is carrying over i think i'll keg that as well.

Yea sure, i was storing quite a bit of hops in my mothers freezer and when she was going to the north of Ireland to do some heavy shopping (30% cheaper) i got the order to remove them. I spent all day trying to figure how to use what i couldn't store and formulated a recipe to use most of them but then i got the brainwave to use them all, hence Good Riddance
