I am looking for a used copy of The hop growers hand book.
I like to buy recycled books when I can. Does anybody know of any online places. I have tried world of books, but no joy there.

Or, if anybody has one they want to sell on?

I used eBay for several books, mainly from private sellers. However I did get a good deal from The Cotswold library also on ebay for my "booze for free" book. £4.25 and in mint condition.

It's a bit frustrating sometimes when you want a physical copy, especially things out of print. You just know that the book you want is sat, unloved, on a bookshelf in some dusty second hand book shop somewhere. When you do find a copy available online it's usually because no one is buying at some chancers ridiculous price. Someone else is (not) selling it for £50, therefore my copy is worth that.

You could try a free pdf download.

Unfortunately with this one it is specialist enough that I suspect most people who buy it keep it, and not old enough that it’s ended up in estate sales and similar. Best bet I suspect is to keep an eye on the usual suspects like Amazon market place, eBay Abe books etc.

As for downloading it I’m not wanting to get into some debate on the ethics of piracy, but please do bare in mind that the costs of editing, type setting etc. for a book are not insubstantial and on something like this which likely has a very limited print run it is difficult enough to recover costs without having to worry about piracy (sorry but had to throw this in as someone who works for a specialist publisher and spends far too much time calculating margins on book projects).

Yep same here, margins are very tight, plus you may not just be downloading a dodgy eBook but hidden nasties also.
