Hi guys

Bottled a TC a while back and gave it the usual 2 weeks warm 2 weeks cool treatment. When they went into the shed, the bottles were rock solid with CO2 (That much pressure, it turned the squared bottles to cylinder shaped ones)

I pulled them out of the shed today and the bottles had gone quite soft in comparison. I poured a sample glass out and the cider is completely flat. There wasn't even the slightest noise of CO2 escaping when I opened the bottle. Anyone have any ideas as to what's gone wrong here? Are they salvageable, or am I destined to drinking a gallon of flat cider? :x

How cold was it? it is possible in these freezing conditions tha all the CO2 has been absorbed into the cider. Try warming them up to room temp. The only other suggestion is the tops have leaked. :thumb:

yeah, +1 here - try bringing them in from the cold 2 hours prior to drinking (thanks ali, I use that technique all the time hahah) and then trying one :thumb:

it is really really bloody cold out.

Shed not insulated that much so probably very cold in there overnight. Brought them into dining room now, fingers crossed

Cheers guys

I have had the same problem recently but as the lads say, bring the bottles in doors for a couple of hours and everything will be fine
