Hi there jollie brewers,
i am going to do a gerogies lager kit next week and have been told that using golden syrup instead of sugar will make it taste like a san miguel lager.
just wondering if anyone as done the golden syrup thing instead of sugar.

Cheers

we are currently bottled magnum strawberyy cider in newcastle brown bottles.
40 pints of youngs lager
turbo cider
wurzel wine and finally
5 gallon of plum wine ready in april

Not tried this, but it will give you lighter body than malt extract will. Also, using corn syrup, which I think is what Golden Syrup is, is the same as used in American Lagers. Just try it and report back!

I have no idea what corn syrup is, but would suspect that corn must be involved somewhere.
There's no corn in golden syrup, it's just sugar, partially inverted.
