Partial might be not a bad idea just to put you're foot in and get used to the mash and extra process.
My last batch was a partial and I didn't get the efficiency I wanted, I also didn't strain the protein break out of the pot into the FV.. which made bottling a bit of a nightmare and I lost some and some are a bit sedimenty.
The beer tastes good (at least I think it does) but I realise now I have a few processes I need to change and improve upon which I will on my next batch.
