glycerine

I know that glycerine is supposed to add body to a wine, so can it be added to any wine like the kit forms etc?? I have done a couple just recently that seemed to be lacking that certain something when you swill around the glass! If it can be added, should it be chucked in at the beginning or after racking?

Don't matter which......but if added at the end you can gauge how much is required because once it is in there you can't take it out
