Ginger stout anyone?

I made a Coopers stout and added chocolate essence to my barrel and its gorgeous. Maybe didnt need the full bottle but its real nice.

Just wondering has anyone ever tried using ginger essence or actual ginger in a stout. I dont mean loads just a little im kind of tempted to try it. May just work.

Never tried it but I have my doubts. I tried an ale at christmas time in my local that had ginger in it and I didnt think it worked. Guess you won't know unless you try! You could always do a smaller experimental batch incase in isn't good
