Ginger beer

First batch of ginger beer has just cleared in bottle... Just had a taste and its really fiery and sharp, can anyone suggest a good mixer or sweetener to add in the glass? Not sure i can drink it without something to take the edge off!!!

asda granulated sweetner £1 each...

thats what i used last time and i will again this time ... :thumb: .

If you can leave it 6 months or so it really changes , yes dry but not sharp

I'd go along with that. I'm drinking fiery ginger beer I made on Boxing Day. It was a bit OTT at first but it's mellowed to a lovely refreshing drink. I used lemon cordial as a sweetener, as I used lemons in the brew (didn't want to add any other flavours). I used a bit too much so it's more lemony than I would have liked. Will probably use plain sweetener next time.
