Having just procured 2 demijohns from the local tip, I reckon I'm going to try my hand at making some ginger beer!
So my plan is to blanche around about a metric shed-load of ginger in some boiling water then blend the snot out of it. Push it through a funnel into a DJ, add about 500g sugar, some bread yeast, and leave for a few days.........
But looking at other recipes on teh internets, they all mention putting in cream of tartar... whats that for? Somethign important I dont know about cream of tartar?
