I'm currently fermenting a Coopers ginger beer kit and my wife likes the Crabbies that has raspberry in it.

Does anyone have a recommendation for giving this kit a raspberry twang? I was thinking I could prime it with some form of raspberry syrup to flavour it and prime it at the same time...

Would Jam work? I could make some thick syrup using jam...

:wha:

All thoughts welcome!

Will get myself to Tesco and see if I can find the syrup. Will do some of the bottles just in case it's no good.

I managed to get some syrup from Asda for flavouring the ginger beer. Anyone got a clue about how much to add? I was thinking one priming drop and a teaspoon of syrup per 500ml.

Ok I have just bottled my ginger beer. I did 15 bottles with the raspberry syrup and the rest without.

The long haired general wanted it fizzy so a teaspoon of sugar and 15ml of the Lowicz syrup should do the trick!

I'm bottling in plastic so should be ok if I have overdone it slightly! :hmm:
