GH Saison

Brewed and bottled....quite dark/red in colour but very nice indeed. Should a saison be light in colour or is it simply down to preference after reading saisons were made with whatever grains were available.

Saisons can be a range of colours. Even though it only has one category in the BJCP guidelines the one category mentions both pale and dark versions.

I tend to prefer pale ones because it lets the yeast shine a bit more.

Thanks Mick....think I will try a paler saison next....and keep a simpler grain bill.
