Hi guys, pretty new to this but I tried to brew a Wilkos Cerveza with the normal 1kg of sugar plus a pack of Muntons spray malt light. I also brewed to 20ltr instead of 23ltr to make the beer a bit stronger. I used a hydrometer before I added the yeast, it said 1045, but now the brew doesnt seem to be going below 1020. The pack said to get below 1008. Am I doing something wrong ?

I'd like a strong lager, 8 to 10%, if anyone could let me know of some recipes I be really grateful. Really sorry but just not into ales yet. Love lagers. Sorry for being a chav. lol

morning , i would of thought it hasn't finished , you should give the brew a gentle stir , avoid splashing and raise the temp a little (no higher than 24c ) and leave around 3 days then test again .

OK did as you said and it worked great, been out the country for a few weeks though, will it still be ok ? and if so whats my next step ?

morning , get it tested then bottle it , 3 to 4 weeks is max time you want to leave a brew in fv , it should be fine but it's pushing your luck from infection and so on , hope its ok for you .
