Hey, i just finished bottling by 2. beer batch, and i tought about how practical it would be to put some of it in a keg.
OBS: Norwegian websited incomming, dont be scared!!

I'm brewing about 20 liters at a time, so i'm thinking about starting with one keg...

So, i found this one: http://vinogbar.no/product_info.php?products_id=622
It says: Practical preasure-keg 5 liters, rubber plug included.

To get beer out of the thing, i figured i need a tap thingie...

I found this thing, a CO2 dispencer to put on top http://vinogbar.no/product_info.php?products_id=623
It says:

Co2 dispenser for 5liter beer keg.
You can adjust the pressure or stop it completely so you can connect the tap on the next beer keg.

Question time! I'm used to do the bottle priming with powder sugar directly into the bottle. Is it done the same way here? And should let it prime with the dispenser placed on the top? or just the rubber plug?
Can someone give me a step by step explaination of the whole keging and using the keg?

I use these and have no problems with them, i prime them and when the pressure drops i use the CO2. i prime with the rubber bung in and when ready to drink add the tap, no co2 bulb though till needed.

Hi Rukula

There's a pictorial guide to assembly here http://www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk/forum/view ... 0&start=45
As matchles1 says, prime direct into the keg before fitting the two piece rubber bung.
Good luck

Cheers Tom

Aaaaahhh!! Thanks allot for the link mate.

The CO2 "powered" ones are recomended? right? And do they use kinda the same CO2 cartridge as you find in bike stores? Ive seen some hanging around, for using with full-automatic tire pumps...

Yeah, the Co2 dispensed ones usually keep the beer for weeks rather than days after it's been tapped.
The bulbs might be ok but I had some " unknown " ones and they seemed to give a slight metallic taste to the beer. I then got some of these http://www.co2cartridges.co.uk/beer-co2 ... tegory=299 and the metallic taste has all but gone. I think some bulbs are coated inside with oil ( read it several times from several different places ) and shouldn't be considered for food/beer use.

Cheers Tom
