I normally plop my hops on top of the wort but they mostly float on top.

How can I get them to sink or at least get into the brew?

Hmmm. I usually just plop on top.

Do you need to sterilise the bag? Where do you get them?

hop socks £1.50 for three at lhbs. Just shove them in washer after use. If your feeling ultra sensitive dip them into a bit of sanitiser before filling them with the hops ( I don't usually bother as they go in with my boil )

I've been using BetterBrew hop t-bags with my kits - great additions and they float on the top.

Any advantage on sinking them :wha: :wha:

I use a hop bag, from LHBS, and I try to get mine completely submerged using ss cutlery, but usually end up with a bit above the water line, which is handy for getting them out. For my last brew I did 2 consecutive lots of dry hops each for 7 days, this way you avoid the risk of grassy flavours by leaving them in too long.
