Generic oxi cleaner vs Chemipro wash and such

To keep my robobrew clean, to remove protein residue and such I bought myself Chemipro Wash - but isn't it same staff as generic Oxi cleaner (much cheaper) or does it have some extra staff in it?

Or maybe you can recommend something better to clean equipment after the brew?

Not sure but oxi types are sodium percarbonate based which is basically non chlorine bleach. I think some cleaners have more in them...

I found a safety data sheet on the Chempro oxi, which lists it as sodium percarbonate. The recommended usage rate was 4 g per litre, which corresponds similarly to the one scoop per gallon with the Wilko Oxi that I use. The difference is that Chemipro is about £10 per kilo compared to £2 for the Wilko one.

Oxalic acid is good if you are talking of beer stone in the kettle. Commercial cleaners in super markets do have sodium percarbonate in them but is mixed with sodium carbonate. Better off getting 100% pure sodium perc. Oxalic acid you can get from hardware stores.

Oxalic acid... barkeepers friend.. also great for removing burnt on wort.

Or just put some rhubarb leaves in the kettle and boil em up, make your own oxalic acid.

Just got back from Wilkos, my local branch didn't have any of the £2 oxiclean I normally buy only some £8 and £14 stuff. I hope its just temporarily out of stock.
