They have been discussing gender neutral toilets on the radio and i guess like me it will be news to a lot here would you be comfortable using one?
In recent years, loos have become political. The rise of gender-neutral toilets, designed to help transgender and non-binary people feel more comfortable, has led to controversy both outside and within the trans community.
Gender neutral loos have already been implemented in certain places across the UK, such as Lancaster University" which has them in its library, and studentsââ¬â¢ union nightclub - as well as the University of Northampton. In America, the White House has also moved with the times.
London's Barbican Centre has now followed suit, with gents and ladies facilities now reading 'gender-neutral, with urinals' and 'gender-neutral, with cubicles'. The move has already proved controversial, with broadcaster Samira Ahmed tweeting: "Give us back womenââ¬â¢s loos for ALL women. Why do women lose our space to men!? All women can use ladies loos. This isnââ¬â¢t the USA.ââ¬Â
Another visitor to the arts centre tweeted: "Never seen so many confused and desperate people!"
