While I was a long time member of St John Ambulance we did quite a lot of training on the use of Entonox as pain relief . . . I rapidly learned that it does not give me a high in any way . . . in fact it is a sure way to produce a technicolor yawn

90% Oxygen on the other hand ;)

I have used a good gulp of Oxygen Many times from the Oxy Acytelene set, when particularly hung over, It works wonders.

I emailed the ebay seller of the sparklets this is their reply
Dear unclepumble,

Hello and thanks for your question. These are N2O sparklets/ Nitrous Oxide (food grade). These are commonly used as a propellant for making whipped cream and some brewers prefer to use these to provide a cream-flow/ smooth effect to their beer. I am satisfied that this product is safe to use as a propellant, as long as it's not inhaled.

Hope this helps

There is no issue with Nitrous Oxide remaining in the body . . . it's flush time is on the order of 20 seconds or so. It's one of the main reasons why its used in the delivery suite ;)

Ok i have modded the lid to one of my cornies with a s30 valve, I have tonight filled my cornie with edme stout, burped the cornie, added two of the n2o bulbs and then force carbonated with co2...Gonna let it sit till tomoz night in the cold as its poker night. Will see if it makes a creamy pint
or if i end up vomiting everywhere
Wish me luck

Well the poker went bad ( first out  :wha: ) never have I been first out.

Anyway onto the brew,I have added a total of three of the n2o bulbs and would say it has a creamier head than normal,The main difference is the taste, It now has a really nice velvet like taste and runs down really smooth :thumb:  and a bonus is I was not sick  nor am I dead

As for joints bones ache, its a side effect of Nitrogen build up in your body. That's one of the reasons you generally feel like crap/lethargic achey after drinking large amounts of smooth flow ales.

That could be true Uncle, I've noticed that if i go out supping "Smooth Flow" I feel lethargic and achey for most of the day, if I drink lager with standard c02 i'm normally O.K. :hmm:
