I have some rather nasty beer I made by inadvisedly mixing a tin of bitter with a tin of lager to "see what would happen"

Tastes like 1/3rd Tetleys 1/3rd Fosters and 1/3rd Strongbow.

So I plan on decanting to some DJs and adding some frozen berries from the supermarket which are summer berries, black cherries, and sainsburies value luckydip berries, I also have picked some blackberries from the common across the road.

I was wondering how to do this. I am planning on bringing the berries to the boil in a small pot and pouring into a DJ. Then adding up my nasty beer to about 4.5liters total.

How much fruit should I aim to put in each DJ? :wha:

A pint of Golden Snake Bite Please bar man. Uhm

No wonder you want to add some fruit :hmm: . If you add black currents you would then get a golden snakebite and black :hmm: :hmm:

I am just making an elderberry stout in which I have 250g of elderberries (juiced) added to the fermenting wort. I don't know if you can taste the elderberries, but I would try it by adding a bit of juice at a time until you get the desired taste.

How long ago did you ferment? has it been kegged or bottled yet as it may mellow with time.

Good luck

Its been in the keg a a month or so and is totally clear. The nasty taste isnt going anywhere!

I'm going to carefully decant into the DJs.... better than tipping it anyway, plus I might learn a thing about fruit beers, something SHE has been nagging me about since I started brewing.

Is that a pavement stir-fried curry pizza?   That is what I used to have when I was a student.
