fridge freezer conversion

hi, ive got a fridge freezer that i have turned the top fridge part into a fermenting pod. im wondering has anyone evr drilled holes in the section between the top fridge part and the lower freezer part so that you can use both sections?? just not sure if there are any tubes or anything in that part?? TIA

I believe it's just a foam between the bays all stuff usually comes up the back and in there is unsure drill just thru plastic layer then poke a knife through the foam to make sure u dobt hit anything
