I'm thinking of buying a fridge for 2 cornies later in the year, anyone recommend a good fridge that will hold 2 cornies, most i've seen will struggle to hold 1. :wha:

I get two in mine but can't tell you what it is. Doubt whether it's still made to be honest, it's de-badged and looks a bit rough - got it off Freecycle. Looking at it, it's no wonder they wanted to give it away but it cleaned up okay, works a treat and I can get 2 cornies in, plus room for a plastic fermenter above for conditioning.

OK, I've been out just now and taken some of the bar, brewery etc.

First off, the business end of the kegerator.

The brewery. Mash tun top left, kettle on the right and HLT is the cooler on the bottom. Two pumps.

WOW what a set up i wish i had something like that but im a newbie bit complacated for me that yet, but must admit, IT LOOKS MINT!!!

Good setups Aleman and Steve. :thumb:

I like the look of those small chest freezers that should be able to take a couple of cornies. Just not managed to convince SWMBO that it is really important yet. :(

id realy fancy sumin like that. how much would this sort of setup cost.if you dont mind me asking.

It really depends on what you want to spend and how posh you want it :wha:
Mine cost about £30 to put together.
But then again it looks like CR4P

But I can get three cornies in there (Yes it,s been modified a little since the pic was taken) and it would be easy to tart it up if I could be 4rsed
Chest freezer was free (My second favourite price  ) the timber to make the collar was left over from another project the taps come with some cornies I got cheap :D
All I actually paid for was the atc 800 temp controller

And my garage is still that messy

Mine was rather more as it was all bought new  The big expense is obviously the freezer. If you can find a freecycle one then that's great. I never saw one come up in my area and I don't have any means of getting one to my house....Comet delivered mine.

The taps are rather posh shiny ones from the states as is the drip tray.

Mine was built from two freezers one had died, so I was happy to cut the top of that, which I then stuck onto a brand new unit from Comet for about 120 quid . . .Same manufacturer they had just updated the model so it was the same size . . . This also meant I didn't have to worry about hitting coolant lines while drilling holes for taps and stuff . . . I got the continental Flow control Stainless taps from Norm off ebay (just off . . to the left as you go by) for 22.50 each ( I bout 5 in one go).

I built my temp controller using a PID and a box of gadgets although it would have been cheaper to buy an ATC800 . . . although Ross at craftbrewer has a tempmate controller that has a wider temp range than the 800 and is considerably smaller.

It actually isn't that nice to look at in real life . . . its been photoshopped ;)
