Hi

I have some hops growing nearby, they smell great and they are currently green.

Q1. Can I use them?

Q2. If I post a picture will someone be able to identify them?

Q3. How do I "process" them and use them to improve a kit brew?

Cheers

Dave,
I recently had a similar discussion regarding some Wild Hops I found. Look here http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=9903&start=20

I collected 2 bags full , dried them out in my loft on a Net curtain suspended from the rafters...with a fan going to circulate the heat and aid drying . After a week they were dry..so I vacuum packed 2 x 100 gms and put them in my freezer!

I think they are Bullion..but.I'm unsure  I boiled some up and they were very bitter!! Think I will use them in a stout..just as an experiment!

Hope this helps :thumb:
