Maybe a stupid question... can I freeze elderberries until I get round to making my wine ? Anything special I need to do with them before freezing or after before using ? Tia.

If you freeze on the stalks, take them out and put them in a bucket, and give them a good shake and stir with your hand this will knock the berries of the stalks and the stalks should make their way to the surface where they can be removed. You can then put back in the freezer ready to use. :thumb:

Another tip is to put the picked berries an water. The ones that float are no good. All the ones that sink to the bottom are good to use.
