I've never had a problem with Rob, aka the Malt Miller. I ordered about £100 of stuff at 10 yesterday morning and it was delivered today. If ever I miss something I just phone him, and he adjusts my order for me.
I would be surprised if he uses email for order notification, but I don't know for sure. I try and avoid email as there is no guarantee it is delivered, the phone works better.
I believe Rob uses UKMail for deliveries, I can check when I get home. In the 3 years I have been using him I have never had a delivery not arrive next day.

At work :( Should've done it on my lunch, but didn't think on. Didn't think there was much point after getting the email saying it would be delivered yesterday... Bit too late to add something to the order I thought, but it's still not arrived today. That's my brewday out of the window for this weekend.

I've heard one or two people in last week saying they have not had a reply to e mails. Perhaps hes having a few difficulties with holidays and staff shortages.
I always try using the phone to order but if he is busy he will sometimes request an order be placed on line. If ordered before 1400hours its always been delivered next day...premium service for me.

Fair enough. Didn't arrive today. Can't imagine it'll be delivered on a saturday so next week it is I guess. I really can't stand having to chase people for things so i'll not mither him. Just won't use him again. Shame because i'd like to support the forum sponsors, but so far i've had a much better service from the homebrew shop. Have to think of something else to do tomorrow now.

Great service from Rob/Malt Miller this week. Arrived next day packed really well looking all fresh and lovely. Won't hesitate to use again.

[One tiny gripe with both the Malt Miller website and another mentioned above: I wish the first Personal Details order page was a secure, 'padlock' https. The banking side is all visibly secure, but not the name/address/contact details first bit. I'm no IT expert, but the only way I know I'm not unwittingly sharing my details with someone in the far east is when I see the padlock/https in the browser. Am I unduly concerned?]

Placed an order on Wednesday, delivered on Thursday, excellent service :thumb:

I'm sure Rob will respond. He is a member on here 'borischarlton'. Try a pm?

I think he may be away this weekend, there was a message on his site saying no orders after mid day Thursday would be sent until Monday.

Getting to be a joke now. Ordered Wednesday, meant to be delivered on Thursday. Still not came today (Monday) i've emailed him 3 times and he's not replied to any of them. I've tried ringing now too on both numbers on his site and he's not answering. Lucky he's had good feedback on here, otherwise i'd think i've been scammed. In fairness, the late delivery might not be his fault at all, but it's really annoying to be ignored. I don't want to be slagging off forum sponsors, but it really takes the ****.

Want me to pop in and see him Mark?

I could pop in tomorrow lunchtime. I have to say this is *massively* out of character for him and he'd be mortified if there is an unresolved problem.

It does seem odd, my order of a 50L boiler with other bits arrived on Friday minus a hop stopper I emailed him this morning and he apologized straight away and has sent one out for me. it was my first order but I have been in touch with him for a while getting things made to order and never had an issue with contact.

@marksa222 you should have got a tracking No from City Link in an email. Mine came through once dispatched and in the morning it told me my parcel would be delivered by Bob between 08:13-09:13.

Check your spam folder!

I've missed a few Gmails recently because, in their wisdom, Google have decided to put some under their new 'social' and 'promotional' tabs, which I have to check separately.

Evening,

Must say that I was completely unaware of any issue till I logged in tonight. By my own admission it is possible for me to miss an email especially when I am away travelling but I am sure I pretty much kept up.

I left for Berlin on Thursday and we also had a member of staff off on compassionate leave. We had a note on the site saying that orders were not going to be sent out after 12pm Thursday and that they would go out today.
We are doing about 50 orders a day, with the best will in the world there is going to be an accessional problem but I pride myself on how their sorted. As soon as I find out what has happened here I will sort it right away.

Mark, can you call me tomorrow, that way there can be no confusion about missing emails.

Thanks

Rob
