I've been working on a new addition to the forum in the form of a Map. You should now see a new button in the header.

The idea is this:

1) that our members can put a pin in the map to show where they are which might possibly encourage some offline meet-ups down a mutually convenient pub.

2) that the admin/moderator team can put pins in for home brew suppliers so people can tell at a glance what suppliers are near them. Feel free to suggest good suppliers near you (name and website URL required).

It would be great if you would take the time to add a pin for yourself :thumb:

Can the Homebrew shops be a bit more accurate? Matchless is no where near where the actual shop is!

If you use the Postcode . . . you will be a long way out as it puts you at the 'center' of the first part of the postcode area in my case FY4

If you use the full address you should get very much closer . . . In my case the postcode was 3 miles away and the address just outside the front door . . . Which reminds me . . I need to go back and edit it . .. don't want anyone finding the beer/cornii stash/brewery during the night

I've sorted it now - I had added Matchless using their postcode which caused the pin to be quite a long way out - I have added it again using their actual address - looks good now.

I've also altered the centre point of the pins slightly - hopefully they will look slightly closer for everyone now too :thumb:

It looks like Dunfie should get a prize for being the most northern member :thumb:

Well now it seems Craigite is about as far north as you can go in the UK so I doubt anyone can beat that! - and Aneary seems to be the furthest south

I thought we had some members from across the pond but no pins over there yet :wha:

Anyway, thanks and well done to everyone who has so far got involved and put their pin on the map  :thumb:

I forgot to say what an excellent idea this is, and thanks again EB for your hard work

Thanks MD - people using makes it worth the effort :thumb: - if it still only had the mods and admin on then I would have felt stupid for bothering

My location shows that i live where the police station is located  . which is a good mile away and a totaly different postcode :?

The postcode database that we have access to is limited (read as ****) - try deleting yourself and then adding yourself using your address instead of postcode.
