Sounds interesting, maybe I could open a few bottles and add some sugar syrup and re cork and see what its like in a month or so.

I've been and checked the row of forgotten plum trees I know about. There getting heavy with unripe fruits. Won't be long now. With the heat at the moment I think beer brewing without a fridge isn't going to end well.

Just pulled up some baby carrots and spuds for chicken dinner ;-)

Also went metal detecting whilst checking out my trees. Found a few tin cans some lumps of iron, a carling black label can and a whole 2p from 1999! Get in!

A detectorist!

Watched some vids on YouTube, I walk the dog over old fields and ancient footpaths that would have been used for trade etc. So got a cheap maplins thing to play with.

Only really seem to find junk, but keeps me happy.

Have you seen any of the BBC4 series 'The Detectorists'? It's brilliant.

Heh, whats the payback on it at that rate?

Current market value, just checked, yea 2p. ;-)

It's just something to mess about with whilst walking the dog.

Debating if I should try to train the brambles in my back garden. The top part is like a spikey jungle at the mo, but they all have flowers!

And they dont sting when they have the flowers on which is easier than learning how to pick them ;o)
