I brewed a Mexican Cervezaa while ago and bottled it far too late. Even though it is really tasty and clear, it is flat as a pancake. I must have left it that long that the yeasties had died.

Would I be able to open each bottle and then carbonate with a Soda Stream, then replace in a clean bottle with a new crown cap. If so, would there be any difference in taste and its condition.

Cheers Neil

Pretty sure its a none starter Neil, suppose you've tried them in a warm room for a week

Hi Sean

Yes mate, I always keep in the warm for at least a week from bottling and then out in the shed for the next few weeks.

It was my own fault, left it far too long before bottling. Oh well, I will be drink it with some blackcurrant and ice in the summer.

I don't waste a thing!!.

Did you prime your bottles???

Screwy

Hi Screwy

Yes mate I did. The Cerveza was clear by the time I bottled it. I have just tried another bottle and its as flat as s##t.

Maybe I could add a tiny touch of yeast to the bottles with about a quarter of a teaspoon of sugar to see if that works.

Over carbed brew, now that sounds like my ginger beer. Ginger and lager together ?  . Thank god I put it down the sink.

Maybe a little late, but I don't see why you couldn't run this through a soda stream, I frequently run my TC through one, just remember to open it very slowly or you'll end up with cerveza all over your kitchen

Since my last post there is now a little carbonation. In another post I said that I am drinking one at the moment. Its not too fizzy but it has a great taste. I will be buying another one of these kits in the next few weeks and maybe tweak it a little with some lemon essence.

Cheers Neil
