Flashed in Staines

I was flashed by a speed camera going through Staines today.

No idea why, I was only doing 20 knots.

It's no wonder David Cameron doesn't want Scotland to leave the United Kingdom.

At this rate Scotland will be the only place above the flood line.

I believe that a GATSO has to flash twice to nick you, other types don't but enough pessimism for now.

Were you in a school zone or similar? They can be 20 MPH, but are usually labelled to high heaven to keep the safety nannies happy.

Are you sure you were only doing 20? Even in nautical terms that's only 23 and a bit MPH

I was hoking out my conversion table to see how fast 20 knots is, whilst cursing the poster for being obtuse. Doesn't help that I have no idea where Staines is!!

I'd Googled it..... 23.14 MPH, if memory serves correctly (I might have sample my own product since )

Staines are low down, especially with 'jokes' like the OP
