Fish tank heater question

What size builders bucket do people use for the fish tank heater method? I’m guessing you don’t want a huge amount of space around the fv? I’ve seen 30 or 60l versions

I use a large garden trug, which is 36L I think. I've got a few FVs so had to make sure they all fitted.
