Not done this one in 18months and all my supplies of it are out of stock so thought I'd do 5gallons :D

Here's the recipe for one gallon, One litre of white grape juice, one litre of apple juice. 1 tbs of pectolase, nutrient and citric acid. 1 campden tablet 1 1/4 lb of sugar to get a OG of 1085 1 tbs yeast

Fill with water to the neck of the DJ, when SG is 1020 top up. when SG is below 1000 and racked add campden tablet.

You can drink straight away, but best left a month or so

Sounds good. I do a rosé with one litre of red grape and one litre of apple. The apple adds quite a lot.

Yeah the apple makes a real difference and its a change from WOW.

Original recipe from Lockwood :thumb:

I've done this wine too. Wondering what you think the apple brings? And as opposed to what? I've not done straight grape and wonder whether it might be a bit thin, where the apple gives the necessary depth.

If you just use white grape juice it can be quite harsh and take sometime before its ready to drink. I think apple adds better mouth feel and you don't really have to add tannin....just my thinking
