In my younger days, yes I've still a good memory, several of the Ale Houses I used to frequent had WYBMADIITY above the bar.
This of course begged the question.
When asked, the local came back with "will you buy me a drink if I tell you?"
Having paid the price of a pint, the local would then say, you can also say it backwards, "you think I intend drinking a mild, but you're wrong".
Total tomfoolery, but many gullible's paid the price!
